Mechcon Welding & Fabrication recently completed a handrail steel fabrication packages at the Preston Railway Station.

The steel fabricated handrails were based on several other stations Mechcon have been involved with.

The design for architectural handrails, is in line with DDA compliance, AS 1428, and the loading requirements for C3 crowd loading are in line with AS11, 70.1.

Mechcon followed, Metro and VicTrack’s strict design specifications and quality requirements.

Mechcon has become a reliable supplier of engineered and architecturally designed handrails for Victoria’s Big Build Projects, including crossing removal projects for new railway stations.

We look forward to continuing to provide Government and Tier 1 steel fabrication and metal work procurements for future projects.

G’day Guys, it’s Luke here from Mechcon Welding & Fabrication.

We’re out here today at Preston, just overlooking one of our recently completed handrail steel fabrication packages at the Preston Railway Station.

Standing here at the bottom of the north-facing station concourse, leading to the elevator platforms, we can clearly site the steel fabricated handrails Mechcon has provided.

These handrails are based on several other new stations we have been involved with, the design for architectural handrails, is in line with DDA compliance, AS 1428, and the loading requirements for C3 crowd loading are in line with AS11, 70.1.
